HAVE YOUR SAY - DELIVERY OF FORENSIC MEDICAL EXAMINATIONS

The Auditor General is conducting a performance audit to assess if WA Health effectively delivers forensic medical examinations (FMEs) to victim-survivors of sexual assault. FMEs are used to collect evidence for a police investigation and potential prosecution. Victim-survivors should have access to timely FMEs, whether they choose to involve police or not.

We would like to hear about your experience. We are interested in hearing about any issues you faced and where improvements could be made. We welcome all feedback, especially from:

  • victim-survivors

  • family members, friends or others who support victim-survivors

  • healthcare workers, police or any other field workers supporting victim-survivors

  • any organisations providing support or services to victim-survivors.

You can choose to answer some questions, leave a comment, attach a submission or talk to one of our team members. Your responses are confidential and anonymous.

If you would like more information about this audit, please visit Audits in Progress on the OAG website.

We will stop receiving feedback at 5pm, Monday 17 August 2026.
